Artist Irina Sergeeva was born in the Siberian city of Tomsk. She currently lives and works in Moscow. She is a member of the Union of Artists of the Moscow Region and the Creative Union of Artists of Decorative and Applied Arts (Painting and Graphics Section). She has held 12 solo exhibitions and participated in over 40 group exhibitions in Moscow, Almaty, London, and South Korea.
She is a resident of the following art galleries: First Gallery G1 (Moscow), RED GALLERY (Moscow), ART ONLINE 24, SINGULART (France), and RtistiQ (Singapore).
Irina Sergeeva is a mature, multifaceted artist with over 20 years of artistic experience.
Her paintings are distinguished by philosophical depth, multilayered meaning, and emotional richness, yet visual clarity. A high-quality humanities education (the University's Faculty of Philology and the Specialty in Clinical Psychology), as well as lived experience, could not help but influence the artist's unique perspective in his quest to embrace and comprehend diverse aspects of reality.
A thoughtful viewer will recognize references to literary and cultural traditions, mythological archetypes; the paintings are filled with associations and reflexions. At the same time, the artist's attitude toward the subject is always clearly felt: kindly ironic, admiring, or meditatively contemplative.
An irrepressible curiosity and a passion for life in all its manifestations allow the artist to create without limitations in genres and themes, yet his signature style is well-defined and recognizable.
A sparkling love of life permeates all of the artist's work.
Even simple still lifes appear monumentally corporeal, full of character, frankly rich – a true hymn to life. Artistic aesthetics and pictorial mastery, as a prerequisite for accurately expressing figurative thought, are no less important to an artist than the semantic content of a work. Therefore, in addition to a basic art education, Irina Sergeeva constantly enhances her skills, explores new avenues of expression, and experiments with techniques, instruments, and artistic methods.
Musical themes stand apart in the artist's work.

"I am an artist and music lover. Music is an integral part of my life. It shapes my mood, inspires me, and gives me delightful visuals, as I have the ability to see sound. (I am a synesthete.)
I feel a powerful spiritual resonance with the creators of music—composers, performers, and their emotions. I transform the flow of music into pictorial images. Music is invisible, but my works allow us to see the story, energy, and idea embedded in music. Often, a musical composition that excites me becomes the impetus for the creation and direct theme of a work of art.
Therefore, most of my projects are related to music in one way or another: "Color Music" was my first solo exhibition; "JAZZ and Other Notes" was an art project that lasted for about 10 years and was shown in both art galleries and leading jazz clubs in the capital; and "Let's Rock!", held under the slogan "Painting that Sounds Loud!" My collaboration with musicians led to the solo exhibition "Music. 124x140 mm" at the Winzavod Museum of Fine Arts, at the invitation of the BIS ART Gallery (Winzavod, 2020). This exhibition featured artwork for album covers and singles.
When creating abstract works, I simply surrender completely to the musical flow and allow it to flow freely onto the canvas.
I always paint to music, and the musical accompaniment always influences the mood and palette of all my works.

Irina Sergeeva's paintings are in private and corporate collections in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Great Britain, the USA, France, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, China, and Japan.

Of course, it goes without saying that we love Irina's painting (that's why we bought it!!). We are currently having it mounted and can't wait to hang it in our music room - it is such a fun piece with loads of energy and I am sure it will help our son be inspired as he learns the sax!!. However, what has been amazing is Irina's help in getting her painting to us and her communication. From the get go Irina was super quick in getting the painting prepared for transit (packed so well - Irina sent us photos of it being packed!), sorting out the courier service, letting us know how things were going at Moscow's end, chasing up customs at the UK's end, and keeping us updated every step of the way. If you like any of Irina's other works, please be assured she will ensure the work gets to you, safely and in a timely fashion. Great stuff! I will upload a photo of the picture when my framer has completed his work! Eric

My dear Irina, I was amazed to explore your site. It's very informative, colorful and very feminine. Your paintings are so involving and some are so touching but all make a person to get very deep inside one\'s perception and gently touch the semantics and idea you put into the substance or the hero or event you present. I want to look at them and think, and I enjoy the process. Thanks for including my portrait into the gallery. Saule Kadyr
