The artwork is a part of the art-project "Mythology TODAY".
Today's life is so overloaded with the flow of information that we can feel, how this noise - social networks, fake news, aggressive advertising, etc. - obsessively penetrates our lives. The White rabbit, which seemed so tempting to the curious Alice, and she wanted to catch up with him, somehow turned around, turned into a huge monster and now threatens to swallow her himself.
The work is now stretched on a 3.5 cm thick gallery-type wooden stretcher. Ships unassembled, rolled up and safely packed in a tube. By request, the painting may be left stretched on the underframe and the delivery in craft box may be agreed.

The title of the painting reflects the literal process of its creation. First, a red substrate was applied, after it had dried, the central part was worked out in dark tones, and then dense pasty layers of expressive red tones were applied, partially absorbing the dark space. The picture was created to the accompaniment and visualizes compositions in the style of classic heavy metal rock with its power and passion.

My fantasy world of red trees full of wonderful fruits. From time to time the image of a red tree comes to my imagination. I made several paintings with red trees. The strange world of red trees brings me serenity, immersion in the pacifying depths of an unknown but very attractive environment. This is an interesting psychological phenomenon, perhaps a kind of escapism or the search for internal resources.

What a strange time we are going through! Pandemia, isolation, a lot of us get health deseas... I have to wear compressions stockings after some unpleasant trombose incident, and models are unavailable due to lockdown... But nothing can stop the artist, who catch the muse! So, my compressions stockings and missing models inspired me to this selfie-portrait :)
